- On November 30, 2017, an exception barrage of 10-12 mortar shells was fired at an IDF post and IDF soldiers from the northern Gaza Strip. The attack was carried out by the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) in retaliation for the destruction of a tunnel entering Israeli territory a month ago. PIJ spokesmen said the mortar shell fire did not settle the account with Israel and that the war against it continued.
