Recent Increase in Terrorist Attacks in Judea and Samaria (The situation on the ground)

Since September 2018 there has been an increase in the number of significant terrorist attacks carried out in Judea and Samaria. Five adults were killed in the attacks, and a three-day-old baby, born prematurely because of his mother's injuries. During 2018 54 terrorist attacks were carried out in Judea and Samaria.

Escalation in the Gaza Strip (The situation on the ground as of 12:00 noon, November 13)

During an IDF special forces operation in the southern Gaza Strip on November 11, 2018, an exchange of fire developed between the force and Hamas operatives. An IDF lieutenant colonel was killed and another officer was wounded. Seven terrorist operatives were killed, six of them from Hamas' military wing. Hamas' response came in two stages.

Findings of the ITIC’s examination of the identity of Palestinians killed in the events of the “Great Return March”

After preparations which lasted for about two months, mass riots began to take place every Friday near the border between the Gaza Strip and Israel. The declared purpose of these demonstrations and riots, organized and orchestrated by Hamas, was to break through the border fence and have masses of people enter into Israeli territory.

The killing of Palestinian press photographer Yasser Murtaja by the IDF during the events of the Great March of Return highlighted a phenomenon of operatives of Hamas employed as media personnel

Yasser Abdul Rahman Murtaja was a 30-year-old Palestinian press photographer On April 6, 2018, Murtaja was wounded by IDF gunfire while filming the violent clashes between Palestinian demonstrators and IDF forces a few hundred. According to Israeli security sources, press photographer Yasser Murtaja was a Hamas operative. According to the same sources, he served for years as an officer with the rank of captain in the Hamas security services in the Gaza Strip.

Spotlight on Global Jihad (October 19-25, 2017)

The predominantly Kurdish SDF officially announced this week that the city of Al-Raqqah had been fully liberated. The United States and the Kurds are trying to enlist the Saudis to assist in the rebuilding of Al-Raqqah. This week, around 200 ISIS operatives were evacuated from the town of Al-Qaryatayn, southeast of Homs.
