Hamas leader Khaled Mash’al has recently addressed the issue of rocket fire and of terrorism (“resistance”) in general.

In an interview geared towards Americans, he admitted that Hamas is currently exercising restraint in firing rockets, whereas when speaking to Palestinians, he stressed that “resistance” remained the strategic option of Hamas.
