On July 15, 2022, shots were fired at an Israeli vehicle which entered Nablus without authorizationThe Israeli security forces continued their activities in Judea and Samaria to detain Palestinians suspected of terrorist activities and to confiscate illegal weapons.On July 16, 2022, four rockets and machine guns were fired at Israel from the Gaza Strip. No casualties or damage were reported. In response Israeli Air Force aircraft attacked Hamas terrorist targets.
During his visit to the Middle East, President Joe Biden met with Mahmoud Abbas in Bethlehem. According to Palestinian commentators, the visit was a disappointment, because with the exception of the declaration of financial aid, the visit did not touch on political matters.
