Shadowed by the confrontation with Hezbollah (which sparked pro-Lebanese Palestinian solidarity), the IDF has continued its initiatives in the Gaza Strip as part of Operation Summer Rains. That included air strikes against terrorist targets and ground activity in the Saja’iya neighborhood of Gaza City to expose tunnels and ammunition stores.

Escalation began in the northern arena following a Hezbollah terrorist attack during which eight IDF soldiers were killed and two abducted. Operation Summer Rains – the IDF continues its air strikes in the Gaza Strip (Update No.4, June 30, 11 a.m.)
