Preparations for the “Great Return March” – Update

Preparations continue in the Gaza Strip for a mass march to Israel's border (the "great return march"). To that end the Palestinian organizations operating in the Gaza Strip have organized a "national committee" which in turn appointed professional committees to promote events in the internal Palestinian and international arenas. The organizers' objective is to extend the scope of the events beyond the Gaza Strip and to promote marches not only in Gaza Strip but in Lebanon, Syria and Jordan.

News of Terrorism and the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict (March 7 – 13, 2018)

This past week there were three shooting attacks at IDF posts in Samaria and the Benjamin region. In Judea, Samaria and the Gaza Strip demonstrations and riots continued. On March 13, 2018, an IED was exploded to attack a convoy in the Gaza Strip. In the convoy were Rami Hamdallah, the prime minister of the Palestinian national consensus government, and Majed Faraj, head of Palestinian General Intelligence.

Sabri Sidam, the PA ministry ofeducation continues waging his campaign to prevent the teaching of the Israeli curriculum in east Jerusalem schools

The Palestinian Authority (PA) continues waging a campaign to prevent the introduction of the Israeli curriculum into school in east Jerusalem neighborhoods. The campaign is led by Sabri Sidam, the PA minister of education, who makes extensive use of the fatwa issued by Sheikh Muhammad Hussein, the mufti of Jerusalem and the PA, forbidding the teaching of the Israeli curriculum.

Palestinians in the Gaza Strip continue preparing a mass march to the Israeli border (“the great return march”), planned for Land Day, March 30, 2018

Palestinians in the Gaza Strip continue preparing for "the great return march," during which Gazans are expected to hold a mass march to the Israeli border to make the world aware of the so-called right of the Palestinian refugees to return to their houses. Calls were recently heard to hold the march on or around March 30, 2018, Land Day.

In the northern Israeli city of Acre a vehicular attack was carried out by an Israeli Arab whose motive, according to the Israel Police Force, was nationalistic. Four people were wounded; three of them belonged to the Israeli security forces. In Judea, Samaria, east Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip clashes and riots continued, although with relatively low intensity. In the Gaza Strip preparations continue for the "the great march of the return," in which Palestinians in the Gaza Strip are supposed to march to the border with Israel

The Fatah movement in Jenin rented a house for the family of Ahmed Nasr Jarar, one of the terrorists who carried out the shooting attack that killed Rabbi Raziel Shevah, to replace the house destroyed by the IDF

The Fatah movement in Jenin rented a house for the family of Ahmed Nasr Khaled Jarar, one of the terrorists who carried out the attack near Havat Gilad (Samaria) in which Rabbi Raziel Shevah was killed. The house was rented to temporarily replace the family's house destroyed by the Israeli security forces. Previously, senior Fatah and Palestinian Authority (PA) figures had visited the mourning tent erected by the family for another relative who had participated in the attack.
