On February 21 two rockets were fired into Israel from south Lebanon.

One hit a house in a village in the western Galilee, causing slight injuries to three civilians. It was the fourth time rockets were fired from Lebanon since the end of the second Lebanon war. Hezbollah again denied involvement.

During Operation Cast Lead, improvised grenades probably manufactured by Hamas were found inside drug bottles.

The drugs were transported to the Gaza Strip from the Ramallah region within the humanitarian aid. Legally, it undermines the protection afforded to medical supplies and humanitarian relief under the laws of armed conflict.

A basic difficulty has arisen in the negotiations for an Egyptian-brokered lull arrangement around the linkage between the arrangement itself and the release of abducted Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit.

The pictures and film clips which follow were photographed during Operation Cast Lead. They clearly illustrate how Hamas and the other terrorist organizations used schools as rocket and mortar shell launching sites, and how they booby-trapped them to inflict losses on IDF forces.

Oppression of Hamas Opponents in the Gaza Strip:

According to a new Amnesty report, during and after Operation Cast Lead Hamas waged a “deadly campaign” of retribution against its opponents (primarily Fatah), accusing them of collaborating with Israel.
