The concluding statement of the PLO's Central Council of January 15, 2018, related to a variety of open issues between Israel and the Palestinians, among them a call for the continuation, strengthening and upgrading of the so-called "peaceful popular resistance" (Palestinian TV, January 15, 2018). At the opening ceremony on January 14, 2018, Mahmoud Abbas gave a speech in which he said the Palestinian people would continue the "peaceful popular resistance."

The Culture of Palestinian Shaheeds: On the anniversary of Fatah’s founding, the movement’s official Facebook page commemorated five female Fatah terrorists involved in deadly suicide bombing and “self-sacrifice” attacks.

January 1, 2018, marks the 53rd anniversary of the founding of the Fatah movement Especially prominent on Fatah's homepage are posts glorifying the role of Palestinian women, dedicated to five suicide bombers and "self-sacrifice" terrorists who carried out attacks killing and wounding many Israelis.

News of Terrorism and the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict (December 27, 2017 – January 2, 2018)

After a short respite, rocket and mortar shell fire from the Gaza Strip into Israeli territory was renewed. This past week demonstrations and riots continued in Judea, Samaria, east Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip to protest the declaration made by Donald Trump that the United States recognizes Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. This past week it was reported that in November a terrorist squad, handled by a Hamas operative in the Gaza Strip, was exposed.

Educating for hatred and violence against Israel in a performance held in a kindergarten sponsored by the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ)

Even kindergarten children have been recruited for the protest campaign. The PIJ-affiliated al-Huda kindergarten in the Zeitun neighborhood of Gaza City presented a performance on December 19, 2017.

Ahed Tamimi: Serial provocateur since childhood in the village of Nabi Saleh

On December 15, 2017, Palestinians in the village of Nabi Saleh (northwest of Ramallah) held their "weekly riot." During the riot local Palestinians documented two girls aggressively taunting and provoking IDF soldiers. In the video one of the girls is seen kicking and punching two soldiers. The soldiers exercised restraint and did not respond to the provocation.
