Incitement and Delegitimization

The European Campaign to End the Siege on Gaza (ECESG) is an anti-Israel, pro-Hamas umbrella organization which participated in the Mavi Marmara flotilla.

The ECESG is currently involved in organizing an upgraded flotilla, and in other projects to further isolate Israel, part of the campaign to delegitimize it.

In a TV interview, Turkish journalist Şefik Dinç, who was on the Mavi Marmara and wrote a book about it, said that no shots were fired from the Israeli helicopters and that IDF soldiers did not open fire until their lives were in danger.

Several books about the flotilla incident have been recently published in Turkey. One of them was written by Şefik Dinç, a reporter for the popular Turkish newspaper Habertürk, who was on board the Mavi Marmara during the last flotilla.

The Iranian media publicized an interview with an Iranian expert on Palestine who visited Turkey and met with IHH operatives.

He described the circumstances surrounding the establishment of IHH as an Islamist, jihadist organization whose operatives fought in Bosnia, and stressed the influence of Khomeini’s ideology on the organization’s activity.
