A Grad rocket fired from the Gaza Strip hit a crowded shopping mall in Ashqelon, injuring 100 people, seven of them critically.

The Egyptian initiative for a lull in the fighting in the Gaza Strip has gone into high gear. An agreement on principle was reached between Egypt and Hamas regarding a six-month lull, “Gaza first,” during which Egypt would work to extend it to the West Bank.

On Passover Eve IDF forces prevented a combined mass-casualty attack at the Kerem Shalom Crossing. The attack was carried out by Hamas as part of its campaign against the crossings, to the detriment of the residents of the Gaza Strip.
