This past week Palestinian terrorists carried out two attacks. two Israelis were killed. The Israeli security forces continued counterterrorism activities in Judea and Samaria, detaining dozens of wanted terrorists and confiscating weapons. Five Palestinians were killed. A terrorist attack on a bus in Israel was recently prevented; it was planned by Palestinian Islamic Jihad operatives in the Gaza Strip. The body of an Israeli Druze teenager was taken from a hospital in Jenin by armed terrorists after he had been mortally wounded in an automobile accident. The Gaza Strip remained relatively quiet. One was a combined stabbing-vehicular ramming attack in Ariel, killing three Israelis and wounding four; the other was a shooting attack at the Gilboa Crossing, The Gaza Strip remained relatively calm. This past week Palestinians carried out two terrorist attacks: a stabbing attack near French Hill in Jerusalem, and a shooting attack at the entrance to Ma'aleh Adumim. The shooting attack was carried out by the same Palestinian terrorist who carried out the attack in Shuafat in which an IDF soldier was killed. The Israeli security forces focused their counterterrorism activities on Nablus, primarily on the Lion's Den terrorist network, The Gaza Strip remained relatively quiet.
