The main terrorist event last week was a stabbing attack carried out during the pursuit of a Palestinian who threw stones at an IDF vehicle near the village of Yitzhar (south of Nablus). The local elections in Judea and Samaria are supposed to be held on October 8, 2016.

This past week terrorist events focused on the rocket attack targeting the southern Israeli city of Sderot. A Salafi jihadist network and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) issued separate claims of responsibility for the attack. This past week terrorist events focused on an attempted stabbing attack of IDF soldiers by a Palestinian at a roadblock at the entrance to Nablus. Muhammad al-Faqih, who murdered Michael Mark, was killed by Israeli security forces.
