This past week a stabbing attack was prevented at the Ras Bidu roadblock north of Jerusalem. There was also a drive-by shooting at a bus near the village of Tekoa (Gush Etzion). The appointment of Avigdor Lieberman to the post of Israeli defense minister drew many public responses throughout the PA and Gaza Strip.

This past week terrorist events focused on pipe bombs that exploded near the village of Hizma (north of Jerusalem), critically wounding an IDF officer. Nakba Day events in Judea, Samaria and the Gaza Strip were held without exceptional incident.
