Among the documents confiscated during Operation Defensive Shield (Spring,
2002) was a Palestine Liberation Front (PLF) internal memo of a particularly
blatant anti-Semitic nature. This memo was distributed in the West Bank
and Gaza to members of the organization on behalf of the General Secretariat
of the PLF, a terrorist organization operating under the auspices of Iraq.
This document was distributed in areas controlled by the Palestinian Authority.
The Palestine Liberation Front has claimed responsibility for a number
of murderous terror attacks, including the murder of the Haran family
in Nahariya (April 22, 1979) and the hijacking of the cruise ship Achille
Lauro - including the barbaric murder of one of its passengers, a physically
disabled American Jew, Leon Klinghoffer (October 8, 1985), who was pushed
off the cruise ship and into the sea, still seated in his wheelchair.
The PLF is an Iraqi-sponsored terrorist organization headed by Mohammed
Abbas (Abu al-Abbas). Captured by American forces in Iraq during April
2003, Al-Abbas is widely recognized as the mastermind responsible for
the hijack of the cruise ship Achille Lauro.
A memo found during the IDF's Operation Defensive Shield includes an anti-Semitic
declaration attributed to Alfred Rosenberg (see Background Material section),
who was considered to be the official ideologist of the German Nazi party.
The declaration claims to provide racist and anti-Semitic explanations
for "the Jews' love of murder and terrorism". The memo 'proves'
its claim by quoting from The Protocols of the Elders of Zion, regarding
the use of terror by the "Elders of Zion" as a means of attaining
their goal of world domination. It utilizes the entire gamut of falsehoods
drawn from classical European anti-Semitism.

of the Anti-Semitic Propaganda |

Following is the translation of a section
of the memo titled, "Violence and Terror as Part of the Zionist Concept"
(pp. 7-9).
Zionist terror over more than half of the past century
is one of the major components of the Zionist State. The existence of
the Zionist entity as a 'state' is tied to the most base form of terror,
which the Zionist Movement perpetrates against the Palestinian nation,
neighboring Arab nations, and against whoever tried or is trying to prevent
it from attaining is goals. We refer to verified organized terror initially
perpetrated by Zionist terrorist organizations, and thereafter by the
Zionist entity, which emanated in Palestine. The Zionist Movement is replete
with a long chain of crimes of terror and mass murder against the Arab
nation, especially against the Palestinian people, over the last several
decades. Zionism and terror are intertwined and represent both
sides of the same coin. From the perspective of the Zionist movement,
terror is but another means of its ideological principle.
The Zionist ideology, which inherently justifies all
pro-aggression and pro-terror arguments, focuses on the claim that the
salvation of the Jewish Nation necessarily depends on Jewish immigration
to, and the plunder of Palestine, and on the establishment of the Jewish
national homeland therein - at the expense of the Arab nation and its
rights. The Zionist movement has nothing to offer its adherents, other
than aggression-laden ideologies. It informs them that they are loathed
and are in danger of being exterminated and that they therefore have no
other means of self-defense besides killing others and denying them their
rights. The true implications of Zionist ideology are illustrated in the
Jewish rejection of merging into communities within which they live, immigration
to and settling in Palestine, and their attempts at the Judaization of
the land while turning it into a Jewish State. This is accomplished by
means of expansion at the expense of neighboring Arab lands, while using
the excuses of security and of false claims of Jewish rights in order
to attack.
The leaders of the Zionist movement and the leader of the Zionist entity
realized and are realizing this meaning in their writings, in their slogans
and in their declarations. They have praised terror and have boasted about
murderous acts. All their slogans call for expelling the Palestinian nation
from its land and to count on terror as a legitimate political tool and
main means of achieving this end. The roots of Jewish terror are
embedded in hundreds or even a thousand years that preceded the establishment
of the Zionist entity. If we read the Talmud, we will find that
it lauds terror as a legitimate political tool and that it even recommends
the known political maxim, which states that 'the end justifies the means'.
When the Jews entered Jericho under their judge, Joshua, in the year 1000
BCE, they placed the sword at the throats of the city’s inhabitants and
cried their slogan, "Murder...murder". Judaism allows
murder as a means of obtaining desired goals. In his memoirs,
the terrorist Menachem Begin wrote, "We as Zionists are convinced
of the effectiveness of physical extermination in order to escape from
those striving to make our lives difficult."
Over a long period of history, the Jews have adopted strange positions.
In his book Peace in the Holy Land, published in London in 1971, Glubb
Pasha (*)
claimed that the Jews were responsible for the bloody events between them
and the Christians. It was in fact the Jews who persecuted the Christians
at the start of the Christian era and in the year 90 CE, the Jewish Rabbi
declared: "We must curse the Christians each day in the synagogue
and act to be rid of them." Glubb Pasha noted in his book that the
Holy Land drowned in blood in the periods that Jews were in power. A quick
historical survey teaches us how the Jews served the Pharaohs for 200
years, supported Alexander the Great when convenient, served the King
Talmai (Ptolemy Philadelphus) for 300 years, and joined Julius Caesar
- again, when convenient - in order to receive special privileges from
the Romans.
Eventually the Jews abandoned their sympathy for the British and became
pro-American, which in itself emphasizes the Jewish view that the end
justifies the means. The events in Palestine highlight the Zionist terrorist
logic. In his memoirs, the terrorist Menachem Begin wrote: "The Zionist
terror organizations are the ones that expelled the Arabs and organized
killings and acts of expulsion."

(Alfred) Rosenberg
[the chief Nazi party ideologist] wrote in his book, The Status of Terror
in the Jewish Way of Thinking, published in Germany in 1942 (**),
that the Jewish mentality [is] an evil mentality, which rejects peace
and is therefore one of aggression, which, if it fails to find a target
to destroy, becomes self-destructive. In his book, Rosenberg attributes
Jewish love of murder and terror to the following:
The Jewish religion is not one of tolerance. It does
not recognize any other religion, and in this respect is very different
from the Christianity and Islam. Since the Jewish view is that their
religion is the only true one, they scorn and loathe other religions
[and this constitutes] 'the concept of the Chosen People'.
The Jews always want to profit, amass money and to
collect anything possible, in accordance with the principle 'maximum
profit from minimum investment'.
In the Jewish view, whoever is [not] Jewish is a natural enemy who
has to be killed and be ridden of. The Zionist ideology is imbued with
the basic tenets of the Jewish religion, which relates with derision
to anyone not of Jewish origin. Jews also refer to a non-Jew as "Goy"
- "Goyim" in the plural.
At the end of the 19th century, with the rise and strengthening of
the nationalist parties calling for independent national entities, voices
in Germany declared, "We the Germans want a land and a country
for our German Nation." In Russia, the Russian nationalistic sun
burst forth, and in France and Britain, as in other countries, the movement
calling for greater nationalistic adherence grew. The Jews sensed that
they were in a dangerous situation, and the philosophers among them
convened a general Jewish conference to decide the fate of the Jewish
people - especially considering their [negative] reputation in European
countries, which was due to their moral level, behavior, and actions
based on exploitation, fraud, and betrayal. The first Jewish [Zionist]
Congress took place in 1897 in Basel, Switzerland, which resulted in
the following:
a. Secret decisions known as The Protocols of the Elders of
Zion
b. Secret organization of all issues
The connection to issues of terror is stated by the Elders of
Zion: "Terror is a political tool which serves us, as we believe
our enemies wish to be rid of us." One of the Zionist
leaders emphasized this tenet in justifying the attack on Beirut and
the killing of three PLO leaders by saying, "We decided
to destroy the Palestinians as they have decided to destroy us,
and there is no reneging on this decision." The Elders of Zion
were not satisfied with this form of terror, known as 'pre-emptive terror',
but went on to claim the need for 'all-consuming' terror, which calls
for crushing anyone hostile to the Jews or to Zionism. One of
the Protocols of the Elders of Zion [states that] a committee was established
to determine a long-term terrorist strategy. One of the decisions taken
by this committee was the establishment of a political terror branch.
The Elders of Zion instructed all influential Jews
to try to take control of all financial services. They
instructed anyone known as 'Proletariat Jews' to infiltrate the ranks
of labor unions. These established espionage groups and special groups
to do away with rivals and anyone who opposes Jews. There have been
numerous political scandals in which their victims were European statesmen
who, it later became known, had rejected Jewish pressures to accept
pro-Jewish policies compatible with the Zionist agenda.
The political terror strategy finds expression in inter-party
political struggles in all countries in which there was a large number
of Jews - for example, in West Germany, Britain, and in the United States.
In accordance with the instructions of the Elders of Zion, the Zionist
Congresses established espionage rings. This type of terror
strategy is based on the need for 'double espionage'. There were Jews
who spied for Hitler against Russia and America, and other Jews who
spied for America and Russia against Hitler. After World War II, the
Jewish espionage authority succeeded in killing German agents or kidnapping
them to various parts of the world. In 1949, a Jewish man and his wife
passed the secrets of the atomic bomb to Russia so that the Soviets
would espouse the Jewish cause in Palestine and help them.
The provisions of The Protocols of the Elders of Zion also stipulate
the importance of having a Jewish representative in every ideological
camp, regardless of prevailing conditions and circumstances. After both
World Wars, Jews became actively involved in the international ideological
struggle, and some even became senior leaders of the Communist Party
- for example, Zofsky, Lenin’s deputy in Russia, and Shtuchnazi in Czechoslovakia.
Others, such as Rothschild in France, became senior leaders of the Capitalist
Movement.
Leaders of the Zionist Movement, who planned and strove toward establishing
a Zionist entity in Palestine, soon discovered that this would necessitate
the use of force and arms. This perception was particularly prevalent
in the writings of the first Zionist movement leaders and in their views
on how the goals of the World Zionist
Organization were to be achieved, following the first Zionist Congress,
which was held in Switzerland in
1897... ."

The Authenticity of the Protocols of the Elders
of Zion: |
| |
|
|
| |
|
It has long been known that the Protocols of
the Elders of Zion is a forgery and were actually written in Paris sometime
between 1895 and 1899 by an agent of the Russian secret police Pytor Ivanovich
Rachovsky. In 1927, an American judge ordered auto magnate Henry Ford to
destroy a large printing of the book he had personally financed; and in
1991 the South African government banned it as an immoral publication. In
1993, Judge Lyudmila Belikova, a Moscow district court judge, ruled that
the document was a forgery in a slander case brought before her. Judge Belikova
based her ruling in part on testimony by a three-member panel of Russian
academic experts who examined the document and its textual and legal history.

Alfred Rosenberg: |
| |
|
|
| |
|
Chief Nazi ideologist and head of the foreign
policy department. In his major work "The Myth of the Twentieth Century,"
he wrote that race was the main factor determining science, art and culture.
The Jews, he asserted, had distorted the ideals of race with their religion
of humanity.
Rosenberg, quoted in the PLF's internal memo, was one of Hitler’s closest
confidants and was considered the official ideologist of the German Nazi
Party. Born in Tallin, Estonia in 1893, Rosenberg was an architect by profession
(he studied in Moscow). He fled Russia following the Bolshevik Revolution
and joined Hitler at the early 1920s. A fervent racist and anti-Bolshevist,
he saw a 'Jewish connection' in the Bolshevik revolution. Rosenberg was
a member of the National Socialist German Workers Party (Nazis) even before
Hitler himself joined.
Rosenberg was instrumental in shaping Hitler’s ideas regarding his expansion
policy eastwards and the German Lebensraum - "living space"
- in the east. He published books, pamphlets and articles on the subject
of race, including his book, The Myth of the Twentieth Century. In 1923,
he published a book in Germany titled, The Protocols of the Elders of
Zion and World Jewish Policy, which sold three editions within one year.
Rosenberg therefore served as the connecting link between Russian anti-Semitism,
which gave rise to The Protocols of the Elders of Zion, and German racist
anti-Semitism, which resulted in the Holocaust.
He was condemned to death at Nuremberg, in 1946.

Conclusion |
| |
|
|
| |
|
This document clearly illustrates the link
between terror, racism and anti-semitism. It was distributed by the PLF,
which carried out the murders of the Haran family in 1979 and Leon Klinghoffer
in 1985. The PLF has made extensive use of the ficticios and inflammatory
"Protocols of the Elders of Zion" as well as the Nazi works
of Alfred Rosenberg. The PLF's leader, Abu Abbas, was arrested by the
Americans in Iraq in April 2003.
This kind of anti-semitic material is highly characteristic of PLO documents
previously discovered by the IDF within Palestinian areas. It serves as
another act in the delegitimization of Israel and the Jewish nation. It
thus encourages further violence and terror in the hope of destroying
Israel.
A central condition for the development of peace between Israel and her
neighbors, including the Palestinians, is the cessation of all acts of
violence, both physical and verbal. Continuous provocation and racial
mudslinging does not build up an atmosphere conducive to peace and to
co-existence.
