Israel's south remains quiet. This past week in Judea, Samaria and Jerusalem riots and terrorism continued. Hamas held a rally in the Gaza Strip, one of the events marking the anniversary of the organization's founding. In the international arena the PA continues its efforts to promote a unilateral UN Security Council resolution for a timetable to establish a Palestinian state with the 1967 borders.

Senior Hamas Operatives Based in Turkey Continue Directing Terrorist Networks in Judea and Samaria

In August and September 2014 the Israeli security forces exposed two Hamas military-terrorist networks operating in Judea and Samaria. They recruited squads to carry out terrorist attacks against Israeli targets, including showcase attacks in Jerusalem (attacks on the Teddy (Soccer) Stadium and the light railway).

This past week clashes near the security fence along the Israel-Gaza Strip border continued. Violence and terrorism in Judea and Samaria continued in the usual patterns. Prominent this past week was the stabbing attack carried out by a Palestinian in a supermarket in Mishor Adumim, east of Jerusalem.

Terrorist attacks in Judea and Samaria continue, including stabbing attacks, vehicular attacks and the throwing of stones, rocks and Molotov cocktails. In recent months two Hamas military-terrorist terrorist networks were uncovered in Judea and Samaria, handled from Turkey, which has become a focal point for directing terrorist squads in Judea and Samaria.

This past week Israel's south remained quiet, with two exceptions. In Judea, Samaria and Jerusalem the violence continues, partially to show solidarity with Al-Aqsa mosque. In recent weeks the Israel Security Agency exposed a Hamas terrorist squad whose members had served prison sentences in Israeli in the past. They planned to assassinate Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman and had already begun gathering operational intelligence and preparing weapons.
