This past week Palestinian popular terrorism was manifested by a stabbing attack at the entrance to the community of Mevo Dotan (northern Samaria) in which an IDF soldier was seriously wounded. The Israel Security Agency exposed a Palestinian network that carried out a shooting attack against an IDF force near Tulkarm. This week, after forty days, the hunger strike of the Palestinian prisoners ended.

This past week Palestinian population terrorism was manifested with three stabbing attacks (Abu Dis, the Qalandia crossing and apparently in the central Israeli city of Netanya). In the Gaza Strip international organizations warned that the residents' situation was deteriorating to the point of humanitarian crisis. Hundreds of young Gazans answered Hamas' call. They gathered near the border security fence and rioted against IDF soldiers. A spokesman for the ministry of health in the Gaza Strip reported that dozens of Palestinians had been injured.

During the past two weeks popular terrorism attacks continued. Prominent among them were stabbing and shooting attacks. The Gaza Strip was relatively quiet. In internal and external Palestinian politics there were three significant events: Hamas issued a political document entitled "A Document of General Principles and Policies Mahmoud Abbas met in Washington with Donald Trump. Hamas' General Shura Council announced the election of Ismail Haniyeh as head of its political bureau, replacing Khaled Mashaal.

This past week popular terrorism attacks increased in Judea and Samaria, and apparently in central Israel as well. Hamas' new political platform, which was supposed to be made public in the near future, was leaked to the Lebanese media.

In Judea and Samaria popular terrorism continues. This past week a Palestinian tried to stab a soldier and a female civilian south of Nablus. In the Gaza Strip a senior Hamas operative in the West Bank headquarters of Hamas' military wing was shot at close range and killed. Hamas rushed to accuse Israel of killing him.
