1. On May 25, 2004, the Israel Security Agency and the IDF arrested Muhammad Abu Juewid, a Palestinian residing in Jordan who was recruited to Fatah�s pro-Syrian faction (the Abu Musa faction1), which subsequently transferred him to Hezbollah�s control (a scenario used in the past).

 

1. The Fatah Abu Musa faction: A pro-Syrian faction that split from Fatah in May 1983. The organization�s strength rests on elements from Fatah�s left wing and on the organization�s military units left in Syria and in Lebanon. The organization includes several thousands of operatives and its main headquarters is located in Damascus ; the organization�s headquarters in Jordan is headed by Ibrahim Ajwa.
